Deepan Shanmugasundaram is a dynamic entrepreneur and civil engineer with a strong academic background and diverse professional journey. A graduate from the College of Engineering, Guindy and a post-graduate from IIT Madras, Deepan has always combined technical expertise with entrepreneurial vision.
He began his career as a Research Assistant at IIT Madras (2010–2012), followed by a stint as a Structural Engineer at WS Atkins (2012–2015), gaining valuable international exposure. In 2016, he took over the reins of Arunachala Group, continuing the family legacy in steel trading while expanding its scope and professionalism. Rooted in traditional values, Deepan’s approach to business blends modern strategy with timeless wisdom. With every venture, Deepan aims to deliver value, build trust, and foster growth — both professionally and personally.
